I’m Odious Blot—a multi-instrumentalist musician, songwriter, and improviser whose music weaves together Funk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock, and Pop. My work reflects a deep curiosity and creative reverence for my musical influences, resulting in multiple solo albums and a growing collection of singles (I've got them here, on the site, for you to stream but you can also purchase them from all of the major streaming sites like Apple Music and Spotify and Bandcamp etc). Currently, I’m crafting a new solo album and collaborating with my friends Northern Creatures on new material.I’ve been fortunate to have been involved in a variety of creative projects. As a founding member, guitarist, and songwriter, I’ve contributed to bands like Razed Roof, Humungus Fungus, The Jolly Green Love Machine, Grazeraul, Schnoodle, Northern Creatures, and my solo venture, Odious Blot. Alongside these projects, I’ve had the privilege of recording and performing with my friends and family Eddy and the Night Hawks, Mercy and Graeme Morrison, each collaboration adding depth to my musicality.My creative journey is rooted in songwriting, recording, and live performance, each offering its own distinct rewards. In the studio, I focus on capturing music that feels honest, vibrant, and engaging. On stage, I embrace the freedom of improvisation, where structure meets spontaneity and precision meets the unexpected. My music blurs the lines between acoustic beliefs and electric dreams, drawing from both to fuel my creative exploration.
